THE URCHIN

Winner of the IALD award of merit and aptly named 'The Urchin', this monumental construction features a vast matrix of programmable LED lights embedded into each adjoining facet, allowing for the creation of precision video mapped elements illuminating and delineating its architectural features. A digital and architectural feat of engineering, this hybridisation that melds video and form is emblematic of what is possible when cutting edge construction and illumination techniques are combined.
